Diana McIntosh composed an original score using my poem From Wapta Ice and has been performing it in various Canadian and American venues. Her latest performance of it was February 5, 2010 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery as part of the Imris New Music Festival. Her CD, Pinnacles, includes a recording of this piece. Collaborating with choreographer/dancers Karen Barkley and Sarah Harper to create Lifelines was one of my most fulfilling creative experiences to date. I wrote poems inspired by watching the dancers and then performed it to link together the choreography. Sarah also choreographed one piece inspired by my poem. |
